Day Trip With Lori

Lori and I headed out this morning for a little day trip, stopped and picked up a coffee from Timmy's and away we went, first place was a Antique Store in Tilbury, here are a few pictures inside!

Then we stopped at another store called Red's in Tilbury too, where I picked up a crock for $5 bucks! After there we headed to my favourite place, The Old Country Cupboard, Marilyn is this wonderful lady who owns this prim shop, here are a few pictures of the outside of her store. Here is the crock I picked up for $5.00, yes it does have a tiny crack in it but who cares!! $5.00 BUCKS

A few other goodies and I got more things to but cant share them just yet, they are for my swap partner and I cant wait until she gets them!!! What a fun day with Lori, we had some good times today! And wait until you see what else we have in store!!!!

HELP ME PLEASE.....................

Okay so here are 4 pictures of my kitchen, I have wanted to paint these cabinets for about 4 years now and my husband keeps saying no, lol!!! I will get paint on them sooner or later, the question is what colour should I go, I have already painted the island and the corner cabinet black, I would like 2 different colours, top one and the bottom another. So what do my followers think??? Any idea's and yes or no to painting them? I need your help and your comments very much!!!

I was in that MOOD again, Moved Around the Keeping Room

 So here I go again, nice day out and that makes me want to move things around, so here is the keeping room, located just off the kitchen.

 Before......

 Before and now here is the keeping room now.......

 Moved the couch in front of my red cabinet, so if your sitting at the table, everyone can see one another!

 The rooms in our home are kind of long, so I try to make the area's seem fuller and cozy!

 Moved a few things on the fire place and added some berries in my yellow ware bowl on the table.

 Added some crocks on the top of my cabinet.

That little table I found at a antique store here in Canada, and there is nothing better then some fresh flowers to give that spring feeling! Well what do you think??? Does this work?

Moved Around The bedroom! What do you think?

                                                                  

 Moved the bed to the wall and added a few things here and there.

                                      Now you can really see the shutters better this way

 Moved the chair closer to the window, before it was on the other side of the door when you walked in.

 Threw a pillow on this chair that I bought from a little store we have out here. This chair was also given to me from my Aunt Sharon.

                              Sometimes just moving a few things makes a big difference!!

I still cant get over I have shutters now!! Well I am very happy with my little makeover, even know it was just moving things around it makes a difference! What do you think about the change?

Easy as ONE TWO THREE

 Step #1, buying the fruit you want to dry out, I always pick apples and oranges. They smell so good!

 Step #2, slice them thin and then I add a little cinnamon and nutmeg.

 Step #3, dry them out and there you have it!!! I also add cinn sticks and bay leaves to the bowl.

 My house smells so good right now.

Doesn't it look pretty!!! I think having it in your fav bowl or jar is the key thing. My honey got me that bowl for christmas and I love it.
